Welcome to my blog!

Hi and welcome to my blog. I suppose I should begin by telling you a little about myself. My name is Christian St John and I live in British Columbia with my my beautiful wife, Nina, and three wonderful children, Leah, Joshua, and Gabriel. We have been in Canada since April 2003; before that we lived on an Island called Guernsey where we owned and ran a very successful computer and console gaming retail store as well as an advertising/web design company.

However, in 2003 we sold up and came to Canada so that I could attend seminary and study for a Master's degree. Since then I have spent 4 years in full time studies as well as pastoring full time for the last two and a half years. During that time we also welcomed our son Gabe, our third child, into our family in 2006. So with all of the study and papers, sleepless nights and diaper changes, preparing sermons and ministering to members of the church, life has been very busy to say the least.

The good news is I graduated April, 2007, with a Master's of Divinity degree from ACTS Seminaries and although Gabe still doesn't sleep right through the night, he is getting better and I'm not feeling like a zombie all the time. So life's a little easier now.

So that's me in a nutshell... why this blog? Well, I wanted somewhere to write down what's happening in my life. Over the past few years the St John family has been on an incredible journey, one that has taken us by surprise, both good and bad, more than once. During this journey we have been to the lowest valley as well as the highest mountain; life has been for us a literal roller-coaster of ups and downs... and everything in between. So I got to thinking, if I had started this blog back in 2003 when we began the Canadian leg of our journey I'm sure it would have made for a fascinating blog. So my thinking now is better late than never.

Right now God is doing some amazing things in the St John family, bringing up all kinds of twists and turns on the roller-coaster of life we find ourselves on; one thing's for sure, this journey has been anything but predictable. So stick around 'cause you never know what's going to happen in the life of the St John family... heck I don't even know most of the time!

But one things for sure... God knows the way and with God, life's one extraordinary adventure!
